With you, For you, For Singapore will be the rallying call of the People’s Action Party for this coming general elections.

Singaporeans will be called upon to choose a team that will work with them and set the direction for Singapore’s future and growth - for the sake of their children, for themselves and the country.

The PAP’s Secretary General and Prime Minister of Singapore, Mr Lee Hsien Loong, called upon Singaporeans to give him and his team members a clear mandate at the launch of the Party Manifesto.

Mr Lee said that for this elections, Singaporeans will be choosing the government, the leadership team and the direction that Singapore will be heading in the next 50 years. “This is what SG50 elections are about…It is about our future”.

Prior to Mr Lee’s address, Mr Charles Chong, Ms Tin Pei Ling and PAP’s new candidates, Mdm Rahayu Mahzam, Mr Ng Chee Meng and Mr K Muralidharan Pillai took the stage to share their thoughts about the coming elections.

Mr Charles Chong urged the audience to vote, saying “every vote counts”. Mr Murali, introduced as a candidate for Aljunied GRC, was determined to convince the voters, and that it was “time to bring the PAP home.” Ms Tin Pei Ling who will be contesting at MacPherson SMC talked about her newborn son and her concerns about his future. She said, “We are not here to supervise, to check, we are here to build a better future of Singapore.”

Mdm Rahayu said her parents exhorted her to give back to the community.  “There are two key things that will help us as we march forward in our endeavour to win the mandate of the people – clarity of purpose and party members staying united,” she said. Mdm Rahayu added that with clear intentions and purpose, the Party will be able to withstand challenges that will come their way.

Mr Ng acknowledged that the success Singapore had enjoyed was attributable to the good leaders and good governance that we have had for the past 50 years. He said, “PAP is the best way forward for Singapore and Singaporeans”.
