 Introduction

Rarely without a smile, Wan Ling delights in introducing innovative programmes to her Constituency – Punggol Shore! Under the #PSILoveYou (#PunggolShoreILoveYou) Program, Wan Ling aims to build with her residents, a Punggol which is kind (“PunggolCares”), green (“Punggol in Bloom”) and creative (“Arts in Punggol)!

As a unionist, Wan Ling is very proud to lead the Women & Family and SME Units in the NTUC. Together with her Union and Constituency Sisters, she is determined to introduce “on-point” programmes to help women stay in the workplace, or to re-enter the workplace, and believes that every women can reach for the stars and fulfil their full potential both at work and at home with the family!

Wan Ling is also passionate about protecting our freelance and self-employed community. As the Advisor to the National Taxi Association, National Private Hire Vehicles Association and National Delivery Champions Association, she speaks up for the freelance community in Parliament, and represents our workers in tripartite negotiations with platform companies and Government.

Through her work in the community and the Labour Movement, Wan Ling sits on several boards and management committees, including the Council of Gender Diversity; Global Compact Network Singapore; PCF Charity Management Committee; Ngee Ann Kongsi; National Wages Council. She is also the Vice-Chairman of the North East Community Development Council.

Wan Ling loves sharing a hot chocolate with her husband on a rainy day, and enjoys warm hugs with her residents. An avid reader, she used to read up to 5 books a week, but these days, she enjoys listening to audiobooks especially when she drives to Punggol Shore! She is a fan of Indiana Jones, and has harboured the secret dream of being an archaeologist for years. She is picking up Golf again after a hiatus of 15 years, and has made the New Year Resolution of going to the Punggol Shore Driving Range more often.
