Women in all their roles – whether as mothers, daughters, professionals, caregivers, leaders – be it at the workplace, community or at home, and at every life stage, will continue to be supported by the People’s Action Party (PAP) Women’s Wing to pursue their aspirations. Celebrating its 35th anniversary at its annual PAP Women’s Wing Conference, the PAP Women’s Wing committed to work with Singaporeans and partners to champion women’s development.

PAP Women’s Wing Conference 2024 promotes mental resilience
Continuing the PAP Women’s Wing year-long focus on championing women’s health and wellness, the PAP Women’s Wing Conference 2024 also brought together experts in a panel discussion, themed “Overcoming”, to promote the importance of nurturing mental resilience.
In the panel discussion moderated by Organising Chairwoman of the conference, Ms Rachel Ong, experts from the medical and coaching fields – Dr Hoe Wan Sin, General Practitioner at Parkway Shenton Medical Clinic, Dr Kim Lian Rolles-Abraham, Director & Senior Clinical Psychologist at Better Life Psychological Medicine Clinic, and Sharon Mah, Work-Life Coach at www.aclearer.me – shared their personal stories of overcoming life’s challenges through acknowledging their realities, and reiterated the importance of having a support system.
Ms Rachel Ong emphasised the importance of supporting our women in balancing different roles in life, “Take as an example, Dr Kim juggles being a mother, wife, daughter, sister, and a practicing Psychologist. Through her life, perhaps our ladies will too be encouraged to prioritise their personal well-being while fulfilling various key responsibilities. As we celebrate the PAP Women’s Wing 35th anniversary, I hope that our women are assured of the support they have to enjoy their everyday, that they will support and celebrate each other instead of making comparisons, and to cheer each other on and do life together!”
