The People’s Action Party has announced the following candidate representing the PAP to stand for election at Mountbatten Single Member Constituency (SMC):
- Gho Sze Kee
Gho Sze Kee was introduced today at the PAP Marine Parade branch office, where she shared her motivations to step forward and sought the mandate to represent Mountbatten residents.

Gho Sze Kee’s journey with the PAP began in 2012 when she started volunteering as an activist. Since then, she has served her fellow Singaporeans in various capacities, including serving as the vice-chair of the Bukit Timah Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC) and the Branch Secretary of PAP Bukit Timah. A keen advocate for the disadvantaged amongst her fellow Singaporeans, she also sat as a member of the Medifund Committee at a local hospital, responsible for approving and dispensing public financial aid to patients in need.
A maritime lawyer by profession, she brings her experience in handling complex maritime and international arbitration cases to her community activism. She has led her branch in providing pro bono legal advice and in resolving intra-community friction like neighbourhood disputes.
These experiences have profoundly shaped her world view and helped her to develop a clear understanding of the challenges faced by the community. She believes in balancing meritocracy with the need to give disadvantaged Singaporeans a bigger leg. She is also passionate about strengthening Singapore’s community and social cohesion.
She approaches her activism journey with the principles of mutual respect, graciousness and a “we before me” attitude. She believes in taking meaningful action, and that “deeds speak louder than words”.
She aims to play her part in our national journey, to help build an even more united and cohesive society, and a better future for all.
