Patrick Tay was introduced today at the PAP West Coast branch office, where he shared his motivations to step forward and sought the mandate to represent Pioneer residents.

Patrick Tay is passionate about improving Singaporeans’ lives and livelihoods. As Assistant Secretary-General and Director of Legal Services & Strategy at NTUC, Patrick leads efforts to help, support, and represent Singaporean workers and Unions and has been involved in the review and introduction of major labour legislation in the past decade such as the Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and the recent Workplace Fairness Act amongst others.
In Parliament, Patrick is active in promoting other causes such as the strengthening of the Singaporean core; Professionals, Managers, and Executives (PME) issues; enhancement of the education ecosystem; lifelong learning; employment and employability.
As MP for Pioneer (since 2020) and Chairman of West Coast Town Council (since 2015), Patrick brings with him a deep passion for improving his constituents’ lives, placing their interests and welfare at the top of his agenda. He has been serving the community since 1984, before becoming an MP.
