The People’s Action Party has announced the following candidate representing the PAP to stand for election at Marymount Single Member Constituency (SMC):

Gan Siow Huang was introduced today at the PAP Toa Payoh West-Thomson branch office, where she shared her motivations to step forward and sought the mandate to represent Marymount residents.

Gan Siow Huang 颜晓芳 , 50
Representing Marymount, Gan Siow Huang’s key focus is building a more caring and sustainable community. She seeded the Marymount Care and Green Plans, under which various ground-up projects have sprouted.
Siow Huang’s work in the Ministries of Education and Manpower is centred on improving employability and jobs for Singaporeans. Besides enhancing SkillsFuture programmes, she drives policies that make workplaces more inclusive and progressive.
A mother of three girls, she champions the empowerment of women by mentoring young women starting on their career and supporting back-to-work women. She hopes to see more women taking on leadership roles at the workplace.
