The People’s Action Party has announced the following team representing the PAP to stand for election at Punggol Group Representation Constituency (GRC):

About the team
Gan Kim Yong 颜金勇 , 66
Gan Kim Yong is Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry. Before that, he helmed the Health and Manpower Ministries. At MTI, he strives to create opportunities for every Singaporean. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he co-chaired the Multi-Ministry Taskforce to get Singapore through the pandemic while protecting lives and livelihoods.
Kim Yong hopes for Singapore to have strong family and community bonds, so we can remain united in the face of future challenges while caring and supporting one another to forge an inclusive nation.
He is proud to represent Punggol. He is married with two daughters.
Janil Puthucheary 普杰立 , 52
As PAP’s Party Whip, Janil Puthucheary’s role is to bring together diverse issues and provide a platform to drive agendas forward and build a sense of cohesion.
Representing Punggol Coast, Janil focuses on creating a green and family-friendly environment. He is always looking out for ways to further develop the estates and community, as well as to identify residents who need extra assistance, roping in volunteers and activists to help and engage with these residents to address their concerns.
Janil is married with three children.
Sun Xueling 孙雪玲 , 45
Sun Xueling serves as Minister of State at the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of Social and Family Development. Supporting families and nurturing children are at the heart of what she does.
Since her election to Parliament in 2015, Xueling has led policies to increase access to preschool education by increasing preschool places and continuously reducing preschool fees. She has also championed increased benefits to parents by enhancing parenthood benefits and parental leave entitlements.
A fierce protector of the vulnerable, Xueling also chairs inter-ministry efforts to combat family violence and fight the scourge of scams and cyber crime.
In Punggol West, a single-member constituency, she collaborates with community partners to ease cost of living concerns for residents through offering half-priced grocery shopping programmes and education bursaries for children in middle-income and sandwiched families.
Yeo Wan Ling 杨涴淩 , 48
Under the #PSILoveYou (#PunggolShoreILoveYou) programme, Yeo Wan Ling aims to build a Punggol East that is kind (“Punggol Cares”), green (“Punggol in Bloom”), and creative (“Arts in Punggol”).
Believing that every woman can reach for the stars and realise their full potential both at work and at home, Wan Ling is passionate about helping women stay in the workforce, or to re-enter the workforce. She also advocates for the freelance and self-employed community.
Wan Ling is an avid reader who also enjoys listening to audio books. She loves hot chocolate on a rainy day and is a budding golfer.
