More housing options for Singaporeans
PUBLISHED ON 16 Nov 2017
The Housing Development Board has launched a new batch of 4,829 Build-To-Order flats, with another 3,401 units under the Sale of Balance Flats (SBF) exercise.

These units are spread across Punggol, Sengkang, Geylang and Tampines.

This launch brings the total numbers of flats put up for sale by HDB in 2017 to 26,325 units.

A majority of this latest batch of BTO flats are constructed using the Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC).
Minister for National Development, Mr Lawrence Wong also announced at a separate event that the supply of new private residential units will more than double in the next two years.

“In other words, the overall supply of private housing should be more than sufficient to meet the occupational demand. For Singaporeans looking for a place to stay, there will be many options to choose from,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
