Alex Yeo was introduced today at the PAP Potong Pasir branch office, where he shared his motivations to step forward and sought the mandate to represent Potong Pasir residents.

A firm believer of ‘Community First’, Alex Yeo serves the residents in his constituency wholeheartedly.
He began his journey as an activist and volunteer in Potong Pasir, before being asked to lead the PAP Paya Lebar Branch in Aljunied GRC in 2017. He looks forward to leveraging his experiences to serve the residents of Potong Pasir.
A father of two school going children with elderly parents and in-laws, Alex understands first-hand the challenges that Singaporeans of different generations face. Juggling work and parental responsibilities with his wife, he feels strongly about uplifting and supporting families young and older and ensuring that the vulnerable are never left behind.
As a lawyer, Alex is passionate about legal awareness and access to legal services in the community. Alex has run 2 community legal clinics in Potong Pasir and Paya Lebar, respectively. In 2017, he started the Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) & Wills pro-bono programme aiming to reach as many residents and their families as possible to advise and address their unique needs and concerns.
Alex believes in building a community that looks out for one another. He works with his activists and volunteers to fundraise for ground-up initiatives that provide residents with additional support. These programmes have benefited many families – from offering nutritious and fresh groceries, to supporting the youth as they pursue their interests and studies.
To ensure ease of access to comprehensive basic healthcare in the community, in 2019, Alex worked with a team of healthcare professionals and volunteers to launch the Health & Wellness Programme, championing awareness on preventive healthcare and better health management. Thousands of residents have since benefitted from health screenings and vaccination programmes through mobile clinics.
