  • Jasmin Lau
  • Lee Hsien Loong
  • Nadia Ahmad Samdin
  • Victor Lye

The team was introduced today at the PAP Teck Ghee branch office, where they shared their motivations to step forward and sought the mandate to represent Ang Mo Kio residents.

About the team

Darryl David 杰乐 , 54

Darryl David is passionate about how policies continually evolve to meet people’s needs, so that they can be armed with skills in the face of global challenges.

Being an educator, Darryl believes that good early childhood education will build a strong foundation for children to excel. He partners with community groups to provide families the necessary resources to achieve success for their children.

He finds fulfilment in lending emotional support, constructive help, or friendly counsel to residents, and strives to create a positive environment for the community.

Of Indian-Chinese parentage, Darryl is comfortable conversing in Mandarin, Hokkien and Teochew.

Jasmin Lau 刘洁敏 , 41

Jasmin has been playing team sports throughout her life, and believes in the value of bringing together teammates of diverse abilities to achieve something greater.

Her leadership values are based on mutual respect, mutual reliance and mutual gratitude.

She believes in doing her best to build a Singapore where differences do not divide us, but instead are our source of strength.

As a mother of two young children, she understands that parents and families need strong support as they navigate the early childhood years. She also understands that caregivers are often stretched, and would like to seek out ways to ease their burdens.

Professionally, Jasmin served in the public service for 19 years, shaping key policies in finance, manpower and healthcare. She most recently served as the Deputy Secretary (Policy) at the Ministry of Health from 2022 to 2025, and spent two years before that at the Economic Development Board as the Executive Director of the Singapore Global Network. She has had the chance to engage with Singaporeans and stakeholders across all walks of life, and she looks forward to meeting you too.

In her free time, Jasmin loves being with her husband and two young boys, or playing netball and basketball with her teammates.

Lee Hsien Loong 李显龙 , 73

Lee Hsien Loong was Singapore’s Prime Minister from 2004 to 2024. Now appointed Senior Minister, he had held portfolios in Finance, Trade and Industry, and Defence.

As Prime Minister, his unifying leadership and forward-thinking policies ensured Singaporeans could start well and age well in a time of fragmented interests and demands. He guided Singapore through evolving, turbulent times, and worked tirelessly to bring the world to this little red dot.

He has served his constituents for 40 years and strives to build upon the progress of Teck Ghee and Ang Mo Kio, making them a vibrant community and town.

Nadia Ahmad Samdin 娜蒂雅 , 35

Having served in charities, the Youth Court, and organisations empowering women for over 15 years prior to joining politics, Nadia Ahmad Samdin believes that people should always be at the heart and centre of policies.

She strives to build inclusive communities where our seniors are supported, and families can grow. In a polarized world, she wants to see Singapore remain as a harmonious place of equitable opportunities for generations to come.

Nadia is passionate about the marine environment and balancing development needs with our City in Nature vision.

Victor Lye 赖添发 , 63

Victor wants to keep Singapore special and unite Singaporeans despite greater political contestation. Influenced by his childhood and Singapore’s remarkable transformation, Victor wants honest and capable political leadership, a fair start for children, ageing with dignity and purpose, and to future-proof our livelihoods.

Victor started his career in the Singapore Administrative Service at the Ministry of Trade & Industry covering areas such as manpower planning, economic policy research and international trade.
