About 900,000 Singaporean HDB households will receive vouchers to offset part of their utility bills in January.
Households will receive a Utilities-Save (U-Save) rebate of up to $100, depending on the type of their HDB flat.
The U-Save is one of the three components under the permanent goods and services tax (GST) voucher scheme, which aims to help lower overall household expenses. It is disbursed every three months. The total expenditure on U-Save rebates is expected to amount to about $300 million in 2019.
