Slower growth in economy for 2nd quarter

The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) has stated that Singapore’s economy is expected to grow slower than expected.
The economy in the second quarter expanded 3.8 per cent, lower than the expected 4.1 per cent.
Manufacturing sector was still the biggest driver in the economy, although it slowed from 9.7 per cent to 8.6 per cent as compared to the previous quarter.
The services sector also observed slower growth at 3.4 per cent as compared to 4.0 in the previous quarter.
