Vegetarian Four Heavenly

Mdm Amanda Tan works at a temple and her passion is cooking.
She is a strong believer of cooking meals with balanced nutrition as there is a Chinese saying “the source of food determines one’s wellness”.
She creates her own belacan recipe and her all-time favorite to young and old is this dish known as Four Heavenly.
• 300g long beans
• 300g eggplants
• 300g stinky beans
• 300g lady’s fingers
• 6 pcs dried chilli
• 1 stalk lemongrass
• 1 tbsp bean paste
• ½ tbsp belachan (Vegetarian)
• ½ tbsp mushroom essence
1. Wash and cut long beans, eggplants, stinky beans and lady’s fingers to slant slices.
2. Blend the dried chillies and lemongrass to paste.
3. Heat a frying pan with 2 tbsp of cooking oil.
4. Stir fry belachan till fragrant.
5. Add all ingredients from step 1 and blended paste from step 2.
6. Stir fry till vegetables and belacan are well mixed and pungent.
7. Add bean paste and mushroom essence.
8. Continue to stir fry till fragrant.
9. Ready to serve.
Ensure the blended ingredients are stir fried till a nice fragrance is produced.
