We can rejoice that women in Singapore have made huge strides in the economic, social, arts and political spheres. This year Comrade Halimah Yacob became our first ever female Speaker of Parliament, said PAP Women’s Wing Chairman, Ms Grace Fu.

Ms Fu also spoke on how the PAP Women’s Wing is currently examining other issues which are close to women’s hearts such as education, and ageing. Ms Foo said we should pause and reflect on our manifold blessings – strong labour market, and positive economic growth, religious and racial harmony as opposed to how other countries are struggling with their national issues.
