Smart Women for a Smart Nation
PUBLISHED ON 25 Aug 2018
Improving and strengthening digital literacy among Singapore women is the PAP’s Women’s Wing (WW) new mantra.

At its 6th Annual Conference on 25 August 2018, WW focused on how women can
  • Harness smart technology to advance their careers
  • Enrich their lives and that of their families
  • Enhance connectivity to build closer ties with the larger Singaporean community
Chairperson of PAP Women's Wing and Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, Ms Grace Fu, commended WW for ensuring inclusivity and encouraged young women to take an interest in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) industries to take advantage of new technologies and opportunities.

In line with the theme of this year’s conference, Ms Fu encouraged homemakers to explore online e-commerce platforms to tap on the economic opportunities and flexible work arrangements that it provides.

It was also back to basics as Ms Fu asked WW activists to continue advocating for the interests of all Singaporean women.

“As we continue to be the eyes and ears on the ground, let us find innovative ways to build an inclusive and supportive environment where no woman in Singapore is left behind. We should ensure that technological change benefits users of all backgrounds,” she said.
