Introduction
Since April 2013, Chua Eng Leong has brought a never-yielding spirit to his role as Chairman of the PAP Eunos Branch. He walks the ground, speaks to residents and strives to be a better listener, so that he is able to assist residents in more meaningful ways.
He has led efforts on strengthening family ties, care for the youths and those who fall in-between the support systems. Creating and supporting strong family bonds is particularly important to him, as he recognises it as the basic pillar for a harmonious community.
With a deep belief that he is only as good as the people around him, Eng Leong is proud of the passion and kindness put in by his activists, working together to best meet the needs of their community. Over the course of the past decade, he has managed to fully convert the majority of the PCF kindergartens in his area to full-day childcare facilities. He was also instrumental in the Eldercare facility PCF Sparkle Care being operational in 2019 to cater to a fast-ageing population. Moving forward, Eng Leong has plans to set up more family service centres, including Active Ageing Centres within the constituency. This is to provide support for the low-income and vulnerable individual and families with various underlying issues.
As a banking professional with over 25 years in the financial industry, Eng Leong has a keen eye for detail and takes an extremely meticulous approach to every task at hand. He is a father of two boys, and fully appreciates the importance of both a strong family support structure and good work-life balance.
