Carrie Tan – Preparing and Equipping Families and Elderly for Aging Care

I believe in preparing and equipping families and the elderly for aging care. It is also critical for us to share care & resources with challenged families.

We empower and equip our activists and residents on matters related to old age with a series of talks including topics like incontinence and other common elderly health issues. These talks also cover how aging impacts the individual and caregiving. For example, in September 2022, we held a talk on "The 100-year life: Care well, Live well" by Dr Tan Jit Seng from Lotus Eldercare about Wills, LPAs, and AMDs for families to effectively communicate with their seniors about old age planning. We intend to continue such education efforts in 2023 on other topics including education on incontinence and other common elderly health issues and how they impact the individual and caregiving.

In PAP Women's Wing, we do our part to provide peace of mind in retirement for all and to forge a more caring Singapore.
