 Introduction

Chong Kee Hiong was elected Member of Parliament (MP) in 2015. In his childhood he lived in Kim Keat and Toa Payoh – which are now part of the Bishan Toa-Payoh GRC – and he is proud to represent and serve the residents of Bishan East Sin Ming constituency as MP today.

Determined to help uplift the livelihoods of Singaporeans, Kee Hiong has spearheaded impactful initiatives within his constituency to better support previously unreached residents. This includes his Equal Start programme, which offers children from lower-income families an opportunity to experience non-academic classes such as taekwondo or music; and Project Gold, which serves the older generation and provides consultation clinics to help seniors with digital literacy.

Kee Hiong speaks up in Parliament on issues close-to-heart for his residents, especially in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of the Government Parliamentary Committee (GPC) for National Development. He is also a member of the GPCs for Defence and Foreign Affairs.

Kee Hiong is married with four children, and enjoys running and reading Chinese sword-fighting novels in his spare time.
